Qatar maintains some lush, green parks despite the Gulf state’s hot climate. These open spaces have jogging trails for those looking for a place to keep active, while some keep kids entertained with pretty features and playgrounds. If you prefer a leisurely activity, unwind with a cup of coffee at a parkside café.
We’ve found Hotel.com description of some of the most enjoyable and relaxing parks in Qatar. Each park is unique for its activities, sights, vegetation, and facilities. You’re sure to find a beautiful public garden in Qatar.
- Aspire Park – Explore Qatar’s largest park
Aspire Park is huge – it measures an impressive 88 hectares – and offers a wide range of activities for sports lovers in Qatar. This buzzing area is around 13 km west of Doha, Qatar’s capital. Start the day with a run on the jogging track, followed by a fresh brew in the onsite café. In the evenings, people love to relax on the park benches beside the fish pond and enjoy the breeze after a long, hot day.
The park truly comes to life at night, when the large grass pitches invite you for a barbecue with views of Doha’s skyline. Don’t forget to ascend the Torch Tower, a 300-metre-tall skyscraper that has an observatory deck and a revolving restaurant with magnificent views of Doha.

Unlike many other public spaces and parks in Doha, pets are most welcomed at Al Bidda Park. Keep in mind that your furry friend should be on a leash, though. It’s a breeze to throw a barbecue party using the park’s many fire pits, benches and tables. Al Bidda Park stretches along the coastline in central Doha and can easily be combined with a visit to Souk al Waqif.

You can also use the grass fields for games or spread your blanket for a relaxing picnic. Large fountains provide relief from the heat and fun for kids.
Many events take place at this park and the nearby Souq Waqif, including the Spring Festival which revolves around acrobatics and dance performances. In July, you can feast on date fruits during the Local Dates Festival.

A walk along the promenade at night gives you an impressive skyline of Doha shining over the bay.
The Museum of Islamic Arts Park makes energetic children happy with massive trampolines and a fantasy castle fitted with ropes, stairs and slides. There’s even a bicycle rental, so you can tour the park leisurely on a 2-wheeler while taking in the night breeze.
