A water tornado passed through the German city. People have been thrown out of boats

    A water tornado passed through the German city of Kiel and injured several people. The element threw rowers out of boats and damaged property, BBC reports. It did not last long but uprooted trees and tore off several roofs.

    Police said four people were seriously injured.

    Water tornadoes occur over oceans, rivers, and lakes. They usually disappear within a few minutes but can pose a severe danger to ships.
