The weekend will be hot and sunny with temperatures reaching up to 42°C in some areas.
It has been very warm in recent days, with the mercury hitting as high as 43.3°C in Al Dhafra on Friday.
Abu Dhabi and Dubai will both see highs of 41°C on Saturday, but the south will record the highest temperatures, according to the National Centre of Meteorology.
It will be partly cloudy at times, with gusts of wind kicking up dust clouds during the day, especially in the eastern and northern parts of the country.
Conditions in the Arabian Gulf and Oman Sea will be calm.
The weather will be similar on Sunday, becoming hot during the day with temperatures in the high 30s and low 40s, and dusty at times.
Humidity will rise overnight, raising the prospect of mist early on Monday over the coast.
Temperatures are expected to fall slightly on the coast for the start of the working week, reaching highs of the mid-30s in Abu Dhabi city and Dubai.
After a brief respite, temperatures are expected to climb higher towards the end of the week.
