A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between Bahrain Defense Force (BDF) and the Supreme Council for Environment (SCE) to enhance areas of cooperation related to environmental conservation and protection, BNA reports.
The MoU was signed by Defense Ministry Undersecretary Major General Shaikh Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, and Special Envoy for Climate Affairs and CEO of the SCE Dr. Mohammed bin Mubarak Bin Daina.
It comes as an implementation to the directives of BDF Commander-in-Chief Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, in aim to enhance cooperation and increase the green area on the Kingdom’s coast, in addition to supporting projects to rehabilitate degraded coastal sites, which provides an important incubating environment for the elements of biodiversity that highlights the indirect economic importance of this environment.
